1 Corinthians 12: 12-27
I want to share a message that’s been on my heart about the weight we sometimes feel when sharing the message of salvation. We’ve all felt it—the pressure to bring someone to Christ, as if it’s all on our shoulders. But it’s not just up to us. We are all part of the body of Christ, each with a unique role to play, like ingredients in a recipe.
We often feel burdened by the responsibility of sharing the gospel, but remember, we’re not alone in this mission. Just like a recipe needs various ingredients to come together perfectly, God uses each of us in different ways to share His message. Our job isn’t to do everything but to do our part.
I love to bake, and it amazes me how the same ingredients—flour, sugar, eggs, and butter—can create so many different pastries. Each ingredient plays a crucial role, just like each of us in the body of Christ. Some may be the flour, providing the foundation, while others might be the sugar, adding sweetness. Every ingredient, every role, is essential.
Almost all recipes include salt, a small but vital ingredient that enhances flavors and preserves. Jesus called us to be the salt of the earth. Salt doesn’t overpower; it complements. Similarly, we are called to be a small but significant part of someone’s life—a kind word, a simple gesture, or saying, “God still loves you,” can make all the difference.
We don’t always know what’s happening in people’s lives, but even a small act of kindness can change a life. That’s the beauty—God uses each of us in just the right way to draw others to Himself. It’s not about doing everything perfectly but trusting that God will use our efforts, no matter how small. Each of us contributes to God’s perfect balance.
So, I encourage you to embrace your role, no matter how small it feels. Trust that God will use you at the right time to make a difference. Be the salt in someone’s life. Play your part in the recipe of faith, and let God do the rest. Remember, we are all part of the body of Christ, each with a unique role. Let’s go out and be the salt of the earth, drawing our lost brothers and sisters to Him, one small act at a time. Thank you.
I love this. ❤️
